So many games to play, so little time.
Between work, sleep and all the various Anime, Manga and TV shows I need to get through (and now Disgaea2 for psp), I never have enough time for new games...

It's Hack and slash and the main quest is pretty straight forward. You could use Fallout 3 as a comparison here because once you've gotten yourself an island wide map things become easier. The quest map will tell you where you need to go, it shows the quest giver and whatever location you have to head off to.

Sidequests do give a fair bit of XP and that helps to level you up faster. More levels means more learning points to spend on your abilities. Better abilities makes for easier combat. Oh and here's a good time to mention I haven't bothered to finish Fallout 3 even with all the DLC sitting on my computer I just couldn't care.

I've not played any of the gothic games. Is it your typical wrpg where they give you basically no direction?

Because I'm not very fond of those types of games, the only exception has been Fallout 3 which I only played the main campaign.

If you've played the Gothic games and enjoyed them then definitely give it a go. The combat in this game can be frustrating at times but other than that it's been good. I'm looking forward to Gothic 4 which is being made by a different developer and looks to have much less frustrating combat.

You can always play a mage or use ranged weapons which makes survival a lot easier. Having some distance from your foe is always good.

Hey nice vid. I enjoy the fact that you just got squished.

Is this game worth a play? I've been meaning to find a good single player game to lose myself in.
